A Letter from Our New Executive Director

1560422_10204774795282391_50993577069092519_n-2Hello Friends,

I’m so excited to share with you that I have taken up the post of serving as Executive Director of Kingdom Hearts Inc, after working alongside Lisa Pulliam last year while serving as the Director of Operations.

With Lisa relocating and having to step down, the board devoted time to prayer, waiting on God’s leading for the next step. During that time, the Lord began softening my heart about stepping into the role of Executive Director.  After about two months, while listening to praise music in the car, I was overwhelmed with the deep love for the women all around me. In that moment, I knew God was asking me to join him and I didn’t want to miss it. My heart was pulled towards the women around me…

…For each woman to know the love of God, personally and deeply.

This thought was not my own.

I was happy buzzing around in the car all by myself on this rare occasion. You see, I am a busy wife, a mother, daughter, sister, friend, coworker, (#fillintheblankwithwhatever) who loves Jesus and wants to join Him wherever He is working. But often times, I miss the mark. My desire is to allow Christ access to my heart in a way that removes fear and apprehension but all too often, my “control freak-isms” win out. Do I hear an “Amen”?

But by the grace of God, He has once again brought together an amazing team of women devoted to serving this ministry for the 2017 conference.  I hope you take a moment to read their bios and get to know the women volunteering their time to serve you.

Our hearts desire is to provide a place where women of every generation can gather together in unity.

We envision a place to laugh together, to encourage one another, to praise the Lord, and encounter the Holy Spirit.

We are striving to create an environment where you can let the walls of your hearts come down so you can receive from the heart of God and truly know how special you are. Then you can confidently move to the new place God is leading you . . . fiercely and fearlessly. That is our desire. Will you join us?

I am looking forward to seeing you April 8 and until then, I welcome your prayers!

Blessings to you always, your sister in Christ,

Dana Saraniero

Executive Director of Kingdom Hearts Inc.

Meet our Speakers

We are thrilled to announce our speakers for the 2016 conference. In addition to keynote sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, we’ll also be featuring a Mentoring Q&A Panel following lunch. Our desire is for you to hear from women in different seasons and stages of life.

We want you to  be inspired to embrace the one God has you in today while giving you courage to step into mentoring relationships in your community and churches.

While this year’s Mentoring Q&A Panel is still taking shape, we’re excited to introduce you to these Godly women the Lord has brought our way.

Keynote . . . Francie Winslow

We’re excited to have as our keynote speaker at the 2016 conference, Francie Winslow. She is a gifted speaker and solid Bible teacher with a passion for sharing God’s Word and His hope to women in all seasons and stages of life.

Francie Winslow

Francie has a history of domestic and international ministry that has equipped her to communicate the Gospel with passion to her generation.

It all started in her childhood bedroom where as a pre-teen she discovered God’s love as He pursued her heart.

Her passion for knowing God and helping others know Him led to her help start Bible Studies, outreach groups, and share at local churches as a teen speaker.

She also began traveling domestically with a ministry that inspired girls to know their value, walk in purity and to experience the heart of God.

In the years following, her life was dramatically impacted as she served in Mother Theresa’s home for the dying in Kolkata, sat in brothels with girls her age trapped in the sex trade of Chang Mai, slept in the bush of Namibia to reach tribal people and orphans with the Gospel of Jesus, visited the homes of the poor in the Dominican Republic, and helped with the rebuilding and development of a village in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami.

Francie has a BA in Political Science and a Masters in Evangelism and Leadership from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Il. She lives in Northern Virginia and is crazy about life with her husband and their four kids.

Francie currently ministers as a blogger, writer, and speaker.  You can find her at franciewinslow.com. She has been a contributor on The Billy Graham Center’s Evangel-vision blog, Million Praying Women.com, the Christianity Today blog, and Moody Radio.

Kate-Battistelli-2002

Kate Battistelli

Kate is a New Jersey girl currently living in Atlanta writing about God, food, family and hospitality. Her passion is to remind you there’s a big God Dare with your name on it!

Kate’s goal is to inspire women in their mothering and faith, hospitality and hope.

She is married to Mike, her best friend and they’re parents to recording artist Francesca Battistelli and Mimi and Poppy to Franny’s two children. Before becoming a Christian, she was an actress and singer in the New York Broadway musical theatre world and toured for 2 1/2 years in the Broadway National Tour of The King and I playing Anna opposite Yul Brynner as the King. That’s where she met her amazing husband.

Kate and Mike were very intentional in the way they raised their daughter.

Kate shares about their parenting journey in Growing Great Kids: Partner With God to Cultivate His Purpose in Your Child’s Life, published by Charisma House. She is also a contributing writer for some amazing mothering sites: MothersofDaughters.comthebettermom.com, and TheMobSociety.com, for mother’s of boys and occasionally for  graceformoms.com. Get to know Kate at her website, http://katebattistelli.com/.

Salyer_0164Missie Harrell

Missie Harrell (she looks like one of her girls, but she’s the one on the top row) likes to think of herself simply, but there’s nothing simple about her at all. She is an everyday woman living a life of impact in a small town in eastern North Carolina as she follows the Lord in the roles He ordains. In her words, she describers herself as  . . .

Simply a wife of forty-two years.

Mother of three married daughters.

“Mimi” to eight awesome kids.

Daughter of a ninety-seven year old treasure.

Sunday School teacher to teens. Couldn’t get enough after twenty some years of ministry to youth!

Bible study leader and facilitator to ladies of all shapes, sizes and ages.

Follower of Jesus who surely doesn’t always get it right but who desperately loves the journey and who finds great joy in spending time with others along the way and sharing the sweet goodness of the Keeper of Promises and the Lover of Souls!

And, lastly, a flower gatherer, paint dabbler and admirer of all things bright and beautiful.

Missie is not an online type of gal, so you’ll just have to come to the conference to be blessed by her wisdom-filled words.

We are truly honored that Francie, Kate, and Missie will be serving us in April for our 2016 Conference and we hope you’ll be saving the date on your calendar to join us. Early bird tickets will be on sale in late November, so stay tuned for more information. Be sure to join our mailing list, if you haven’t already. You can enter your email address below.

Celebrating New Beginnings

It is with such great delight to announce that the new board of Kingdom Hearts has officially taken up the helm of the ministry as of May 14, 2015. Both the former board and new board have been busy behind the scenes securing a venue and prayerfully considering a speaker for the 2016 conference. As soon as those details are confirmed, we will be able to share the information with you. For now, save the date for April 23, 2016, because we’d love to spend the day with you!

It is most certainly a new beginning for the Kingdom Hearts ministry and all of the board members, both those stepping down and those stepping up. Much to the surprise of Elisa and all involved, it is also a new beginning for the Pulliam family as they relocate to Pennsylvania. In late March, Elisa’s husband was pursued for a wonderful position teaching at a Christian day school, and as the details unfolded, it became clear this was the right move for their family. Of course, after being rooted in the same community for 18 years, this transition is certainly unexpected, but,as their oldest daughter describes, “God’s hands are all over it.”

So you may be wondering, what does this mean for Kingdom Hearts? Well, thanks to the amazing support of the outgoing board and the incoming one, the plans shared at the 2015 conference will prevail, Lord willing. Dana Saraniero will be serving in a more significant way as the Director of Operations, which means she’ll be managing the details of the conference and prayerfully stewarding the vision with Elisa and the board. Thanks to technology, Elisa will be in regular communication with the board, as she serves as the Executive Director and continues to cast vision and prayerfully lead the ministry.

As shared at the conference, the ministry board covets your prayers for the upcoming conference year. May the Lord bring together women from across Long Island for a wonderful, life-changing day of worship, fellowship, and the hearing of the Word.
